Friends,
It has been an honor for me to serve you as Mayor of Edmonds, now I need your help to be elected to a full four year term.
My commitment to serve the people of Edmonds runs as deep as my roots in this community, going back to when my father brought our family here to take a job as the city’s first paid Fire Chief. In 1971, as a young 18 year old, I took the commitment to service seriously and signed up to be a volunteer firefighter.
Over the years it has been an honor to serve Edmonds as a Planning Board member, State Representative, chair of the County Charter Review Commission, County Council member and now Mayor.
I have a long history of accomplishments, helping to keep our community a place we can be proud to call home by putting people first. Some of the things I am most proud of include;
- Delivering a budget to the council that delivered essential services with out layoffs.
- Focusing on bring new businesses to Edmonds, like Dick’s Drive In, that value employees and customers
- Saving money for the taxpayers by moving forward with a solar project on a city building
- Developing policies to reduce the energy consumption in city buildings and vehicles 20% by 2020.
You will always be able to depend on me to approach the job of mayor the same way I approach life, with honesty and integrity.
It will be an honor to have your vote on Election Day.
